Sock Monkeys begin learning how to speak English.

Today, the sock monkeys study English.

Today, their Mama had to teach English. Their Mama thought that it would be a good chance to begin their English classes, too!

Their Mama keeps forgetting that sock monkeys naturally speak sock monkey. As you can see, they are eager to learn English.

However, someday... they must begin learning Japanese, too! These monkeys live in Japan.

From left to right: Miki, Kei, Ko, Hana, and Ken

Kei has been wondering what her Mama has been saying. As you can see, Kei is so eager to learn English.

Now, Kei is memorizing and repeating that phrase.

Ko learns how to say "Hello."

Ko has been wondering what his Mama has been saying. As you can see, Koi is so eager to learn how to greet everyone in English.

He is memorizing and repeating the word "Hello". It is not easy to say this word.

Miki learns how to say "Thank you."

Miki has been wondering why her Mama has been saying this phrase. As you can see, Miki is so eager to learn how to speak politely in English.

Even simple English phrases are not easy for sock monkeys to speak.

All five sock monkeys have been so attentive. They are so eager to learn.

However, their Mama needed to open a window. Just as she walks away from them, they begin to play.

Sock monkeys are always busy thinking of monkey games!

Today has been such a busy day!

Ko is so happy to learn how to speak English.

At the end of the class, he repeats these three new phrases:
"Hello"
"Thank you."
"I love you."

Now, Ko understands some English words. These are phrases his Mama has been saying to all of the sock monkeys.

Our day out...

Here is Ken. He is wondering how to drive the car.

Here is Ken. He is wondering how to drive the car.

In Japan, it is very important to have the first day's outing to a park.

Ken has decided that today will be the sock monkeys first visit. However, Ken has just realized that he is not tall enough to drive the car. So, he has decided to ask me to drive them there.

Ko notices the azaleas are blooming.

Ko notices the azaleas are blooming.

Ko just noticed that the azaleas are blooming. Immediately, he jumped up onto the back of the park bench for a closer look. As you can see, he likes looking at the pretty pink azalea blossoms.

Enjoying the sunshine...

Enjoying the sunshine...

It is hard to keep the sock monkeys' attention for another portrait in the sunshine.

Hana notices that there was a bird flying and decides to stand up. Kei jumps up to sit on the arm of the bench. Ken jumps up and holds onto the back of the bench and looks around. Ko is still looking at the azalea blossoms. And, Miki decides that sitting on the top edge of the bench gives her a better view, too!

A discussion

Ken, Kei, and Hana keep chatting and laughing. They have never had so much fun! Ken is listening.

They keep saying that they are so happy that they could come to such a nice park on a sunny day!

Miki and Ko

Miki notices that there are many, many flowers in the park. Ko is so fascinated and would like to smell flower blossoms.

But, time is passing by too quickly.

Getting ready to return home

Getting ready to return home

As you can see, while their Mama is packing up things from their outing, they are playing in the front seat of the car.

Monkeys like to have fun. They cannot sit for too long.

Ko and Miki are playing with the steering wheel. Kei was checking all of meters in the car. Hana and Ken are sitting on the dashboard.

They are all ready to leave. It seems like their first day outing in the park was a fun and a happy success!
