Sock monkeys are in Japan!

Sock monkeys are in Japan!

It is no longer a secret! They are here!

To answer a question... I did a lot of the finishing on them. They did not look like this when they came to live with me! I did lots of correcting of their appearance so that they look like twins. Plus, I finished their clothes and handmade their accessories. The socks were purchased as a gift from my hubby and are are for newborns.

My name is Hana.

My name is Hana.

My human Mama has given me the name of Hana.
In original Japanese, Hana
(花)means flower or blossom.

"Can you imagine... she believes that I am as precious as a flower?"

My name is Ken.

My name is Ken.

My human Mama calls me Ken. In original Japanese, Ken (健)means strong and in good health.

"To keep me healthy, I had better learn more about the kitty of the house who is called Megumi (which means blessed or grace in Japanese). Here I am studying a book titled "The Wisdom of Cats". And, I am already asking, "Are cats really this wise?"

Ken promises...

Ken promises...

To help his Mama with saying her prayers for good health!

Also, he will help her with praying for others, too!

Hana promises...

Hana promises...

She will help her Mama always look at lovely flowers each day.

Hana will help with her Mama's prayers, too!

Ken and Hana, together...

Ken and Hana, together...

Ken and Hana, together, promise to help their Mama to say her prayers.
And, as you can see, they have started to study together.

Ken and Hana begin their adventures!

Ken and Hana begin their adventures!

To tell you the truth, I have looked all over Japan for these sock monkeys. And, once I found them, they needed to have clothes. To answer your question, I made their clothing accessories.

All of their clothes are original. I even used a pair of socks to make Ken's hat.
The flowered band and handbag for Hana are made from a pair of socks.

Hana is wearing freshwater pearl earrings. She also has a pearl necklace. However, the socks on their feet, a gift from my husband, are really for newborn babies.

Lastly, Ken is about 4 inches taller than Hana. And, this is an answer to an email I received from someone.
